With Alexa technology, Amazon has built a number of powerful web applications that not only help draw businesses to its site, but also help connecting buyers and sellers together thus making profit as such.

- Alexa information service - query to vast web information collected by Alexa
- Simple Queuing Service (SQS) - queuing for application communication
To my surprise, the long standing Amazon is actually actively involved in the second internet technology revolution, with far vision in to the future. There should be interesting services coming out from Amazon in the foreseeable future. Also be sure check out the AWS weblog, which has a number of cool examples built on AWS.
